Comments |
Titanium is very sensitive to embrittlement by oxygen,
nitrogen and hydrogen at welding temperatures. This can be avoided by
shielding the metal with a high purity inert gas. Cleanliness of the joint is very important to producing porosity
free welds. Protection of the wire at all times is required to assure
cleanliness. |
